Designed using evidence-based methods to create a customized athlete development experience, considering biomechanics, neuromuscular performance, and training readiness.

  • Program Overview:

  • Our development model is engineered to provide each athlete with a fully individualized, data-driven training experience. Every component of performance is assessed, monitored, and progressed using objective metrics and evidence-based methodology.

  • Comprehensive Sports Science Performance Testing utilizing VALD Performance systems to establish baseline metrics and guide individualized programming

  • Movement and biomechanical screening conducted by sports physiotherapist (Elizabeth Yee) to identify mobility restrictions, asymmetries, and injury risk factors

  • Customized training prescriptions built from testing data to optimize strength, speed, power, and resilience

  • Small-group training environment ensuring high coach-to-athlete ratios with continuous feedback on movement quality and technical execution

  • Ongoing Force Plate assessments and readiness monitoring to track neuromuscular performance, fatigue, and recovery throughout the program

  • Two dedicated speed development sessions weekly, targeting first-step acceleration mechanics and maximal velocity sprinting

  • Integrated therapy support with priority booking access through sports physiotherapy (Elizabeth Yee)to enhance recovery and maintain availability

Program Design

After years of constant refinement, our system remains at the forefront of applied sport science. Through daily undulating periodization, athletes are exposed to all key physiological qualities each training week, while intensity, volume, and training modality are strategically manipulated to align with the specific phase of the off-season.

Our training framework is organized into 3–4 week mesocycles, precisely structured to reflect both the athlete’s stage of preparation and their individual performance profile.

We emphasize movement patterns over isolated body parts, ensuring a coordinated, transferable, and sport-specific approach to development. Using a high–low training model, we alternate between high and low neural and mechanical stress days to maximize adaptation while minimizing cumulative fatigue to the musculoskeletal system and central nervous system (CNS), allowing for optimal recovery and performance sustainability.

Our comprehensive performance model targets every critical component of athletic development, including:

  • Movement quality and technical proficiency

  • Maximal and relative strength development

  • Neural recruitment and rate of force development

  • Power production and repeatability

  • End-range strength and mobility

  • Injury risk reduction strategies

  • Energy system development

By intentionally integrating these elements within a data-driven framework, we ensure each athlete enters their competitive season physically prepared, resilient, and optimized for peak performance.

After an extensive playing career which took him through the Minor Hockey, Junior, and University ranks, Chris Rengert seamlessly transitioned into the realm of Athlete Development, working with NHL, College, and Junior Athletes. With a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist credential. As well as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist credential, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and first hand experience to his program.

We understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to training. That's why every player who walks through our doors receives a fully customized off-season training program meticulously crafted by our team. Our approach is grounded in the latest scientific research and tailored to meet the unique needs of each athlete.
